When I think about Cornerstone Church and the vision behind planting it, my heart turns to the Eastside of Cincinnati. This is where I was born and raised, and I see a deep need for more gospel-centered churches! Churches that unapologetically proclaim the sovereign grace of God and call sinners to be transformed by Christ alone.

Over the years, I’ve met many people who feel like they’re just going through the motions. Week after week they attend services, but they are not being shepherded into true discipleship or real-life transformation. They long for something deeper, though they may not realize that what they truly need is the gospel that saves and sanctifies.

And the reality is, that used to be me! Relying on myself, until God in His mercy opened my eyes by His Spirit and drew me to Christ.

My Awakening

Four years ago, I hit a wall. I was bitter and burnt out. I had questions that needed real answers. I didn't want to "keep serving" without being rooted in Christ. I wanted to know God more deeply.

That season drove me into what I call the wilderness. It looked like going back to seminary, opening my Bible daily, and allowing God to tear down everything I thought I knew so He could rebuild me with truth.

And that's exactly what He did.

Through His Word, God showed me the beauty of His sovereign grace. Salvation isn't about what I do but what Christ has done. Regeneration isn't something I earn but a gift only God can give. The doctrines of grace moved from ideas in my head to truths that lit my heart on fire.

I was undone, and at the same time, I was awakened.

A Burden for the Eastside

That awakening gave me a burden. I look at the Eastside and see people like me hungry for something deeper, longing to be transformed by the Word, ready to be equipped and sent back into the world with the gospel. Families who need a place where they can be discipled. Young people who are craving bold truth, not shallow substitutes.

That's why we're planting Cornerstone.

We want to be a safe haven, a place where believers are encouraged and equipped to keep going, a place where leaders are raised and sent into the harvest, and a church that looks a lot like the first church in Acts 2, breaking bread, sharing all things in common, equipping one another, and living on mission together.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Our mission is the Great Commission:

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”
—Matthew 28:18–20

At Cornerstone, we exist to make disciples who make disciples. We proclaim Christ, baptize believers, teach God's Word, and send laborers into the harvest until He returns.

Our vision is to see Christ treasured above all in every home and neighborhood on the Eastside of Cincinnati.

And our values keep us anchored:

  • We trust God’s sovereignty. He rules over all, and we rest in His plan.
  • We obey Scripture. The Word is our authority, and we submit to it fully.
  • We preach grace. Salvation is God’s gift, never our achievement.
  • We build biblical churches. Elder-led, disciple-making, faithful—not flashy.
  • We live for God’s glory. Every gathering, every decision, every effort is about Him.

The Invitation

Cornerstone isn't a brand. It isn't a building. It's Christ Himself.

We believe He's calling us to be faithful in this generation to equip families, raise up leaders, and send them out. To see the lost sheep of the Eastside hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and come home.

That's why we're planting Cornerstone Church.

And that's why I want to invite you to join us.
