In this first Foundations message, we begin with the most important question beneath every church, every life, and every hope: What is our salvation built on?
From Ephesians 2, we see that the story of the Christian life does not begin with human effort but with divine mercy. We were spiritually dead, unable to rescue ourselves, but God, rich in mercy and great in love, made us alive together with Christ. Salvation is not achieved through works or performance but given by grace alone, received through faith alone, in Christ alone.
This truth is not only personal; it is corporate. The church is a people rescued by grace and brought together into one household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. Our unity, identity, and future all rest on what God has done, not what we bring.
This message marks the starting point of our Foundations season as a church plant. Before we discuss mission, structure, or commitment, we pause to ensure the foundation is clear, remove false gospels, rest in sovereign grace, and allow Scripture to define the church from the ground up.
Whether you come from a strong church background, a wounded one, or no church experience at all, this message is an invitation to look again at Jesus, trust fully in His finished work, and stand on the only foundation that will last.
Dead in sin. Made alive by grace. Built together on Christ alone.
