No Other Gospel

In Galatians 1:1–10, Paul wastes no time defending the gospel of Jesus Christ. The churches in Galatia were being troubled by teachers who were adding human works to the finished work of Christ. Their message wasn’t simply “forget Jesus”—it was Jesus isn’t enough.

But adding something to the gospel doesn’t improve it. It changes it. Christ + something ≠ the gospel.

The gospel begins not with what we do for God, but with what God has done for us. Christ gave Himself for our sins. Christ delivers us. The Father wills it. And God receives the glory.

Paul’s warning is clear: there is no other gospel. We don’t invent it. We don’t improve it. We don’t update it. We proclaim it.

KEY TRUTH: There is no other gospel: sinners are saved by God’s grace alone through faith in Christ alone.
