It's hard to believe that it's already been over a month since Cornerstone Church of Cincinnati officially launched weekly worship services at Willowville Elementary School!
On September 13, we gathered for our very first Sunday morning service, celebrating all that God had done to bring us to that moment. Now, more than a month later, we continue to see His faithfulness week after week.
Each Sunday, we're seeing approximately 70–100 people gather for worship, including new guests, returning families, and those who are beginning to call Cornerstone their church home.
But what excites us most isn't simply the number of people in attendance. It's seeing people gather around the faithful preaching of God's Word, grow in their understanding of the gospel, build meaningful relationships, and take steps toward becoming part of a local church family.
After launching with our Built on Christ series through Ephesians 2, we began a new sermon series titled Grace Alone: A Study of Galatians.
Through Paul's letter to the Galatian churches, we're being reminded that salvation is entirely by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The gospel isn't about what we can accomplish for God, but what Christ has already accomplished for sinners through His life, death, and resurrection.
As a church, our desire is to remain firmly rooted in Scripture, to proclaim Christ faithfully, and to grow together in the truth of His Word.
Another exciting milestone is the beginning of our Foundations membership classes!
As families continue connecting with Cornerstone, we're walking through what we believe, how our church operates, our mission, and what it means to belong to a local body of believers.
We're excited to begin welcoming members who desire to covenant together in worship, discipleship, service, and mission.
Our next Foundations class will take place Sunday, November 8, and we'd love for anyone interested in learning more about Cornerstone to join us.
While Sunday worship is central to our life together, our desire is to be a church family that grows in Christ throughout the week.
Our men's and women's Bible studies provide opportunities to study Scripture, encourage one another, and build gospel-centered relationships.
We're also grateful for our growing Serve Team, whose faithful commitment makes it possible to welcome families, disciple children, lead worship, and gather each Sunday.
As we continue establishing Cornerstone in the Eastgate, Amelia, and West Clermont communities, our prayer is that God would use this church to reach the lost, make disciples, and glorify Jesus Christ for generations to come.
We're deeply grateful for every family, volunteer, sending church, and ministry partner who has prayed, given, served, and helped make this church plant possible.
We recognize that attendance and growth are not the ultimate measures of a healthy church. Faithfulness to Christ and His Word is.
Our prayer isn't simply that Cornerstone would become a larger church, but that we would become a faithful church.
We believe Jesus Christ is building His church, and we count it a privilege to be part of what He is doing here on the Eastside of Cincinnati.
Christ is our Cornerstone.
Built on Christ. Growing in Grace. Living on Mission.
